Welcome to our new website to our new website<p>​</p><p>Our website was recently upgraded with a fresh look and new features. It is now fully mobile and tablet friendly, with a special adaptive design that works on all devices. All Board-wide dates like PA Days and Holidays are available, as well as our school-based events. <br><br><strong>Learn About High School</strong><br>The <a href="/students/high-school"><span style="text-decoration:underline;">High School</span></a> page under Students gives an overview of what to expect in high school, and provides resources for parents to help their teen with the transition.</p><p><strong>Pay Fees Online</strong><br>The <a href="/parents/pay-fees"><span lang="EN-CA" style="text-decoration:underline;">Pay Fees</span></a> page is found under the Parents menu, and provides the link to access SchoolCash Online to pay for things like field trips and lunch days. Credit Card payments are accepted.</p><p><strong>Newsletters</strong><br>All of our monthly school newsletters will be posted on the <a href="/parents/newsletters"><span lang="EN-CA" style="text-decoration:underline;">Newsletters</span></a> page under Parents. They will also be emailed out to you when you sign up for a subscription to our website.</p><p>Take a look around our new website and try out all the new features. Tell your friends and family to visit us too!</p>
Bus cancellation information in case of inclement weather cancellation information in case of inclement weather<p>​</p><p>Although fall has just arrived, winter is just around the corner in Simcoe County. With it comes the possibility of severe weather, challenging winter driving conditions and, as a result, possible bus and school event cancellations. </p><p>All information regarding cancelled buses in Simcoe County is posted on the Simcoe County Student Transportation Consortium's bus information website at <a target="_blank" href=""><span style="text-decoration:underline;"></span></a>.  Check our <a href="/about-us/transportation">Transportation</a> page to see which zone our school is in. When buses are cancelled, please remember that schools are still open (unless otherwise noted) for student learning.  </p><p>The Consortium, in conjunction with bus operators, will make the decision to cancel school buses before 6 a.m. and as such, will make every effort to post announcements between 6 and 7 a.m. Parents should also note that inclement weather cancellations are effective for the whole day and buses cancelled in the morning will not run at the end of the day.</p><p>You can also subscribe to receive bus delay notifications here: <a target="_blank" href=""><span style="text-decoration:underline;"></span></a> and you can follow the Consortium on Twitter <a target="_blank" href="">@SCSTC_SchoolBus</a>.</p>
Welcome back! back!<p style="text-align:left;">​</p><p style="text-align:left;">Welcome back to the 2014-15 school year! Beginning a new school year is an exciting time for all of us; students, parents/guardians and staff alike.  After a summer of relaxation, travel, activity and rest, the time has come for all of us to settle into another year of opportunity and challenge.  We trust that you have had an enjoyable summer.  We look forward to working with all students and families throughout the year ahead.  To our new families, we extend a very warm welcome and are pleased to have the opportunity to get to know you.</p><p style="text-align:left;">Mr. Shehata, our returning Principal, is looking forward to another exciting year at SWOPS. He knows that the hard work and teamwork of students, staff and parents will continue to make Sir William Osler a great school.</p><p style="text-align:left;">Through our newsletters and website we will attempt to keep you informed of upcoming events, news at our school, and the outstanding achievements of our students.  We will provide you with a newsletter each month. Information will be added to the website throughout the year.  Please check these carefully for notice of upcoming events and school news.
